LPC-815 660nm red laser diode

Laser diode harvested from the LPC-815 that is 5.6mm in diameter and is a long open can diode.

A safe current for these diodes is around 400ma that will give you around 220-250mw depending on the lens you use. At these powers you can pop baloons, light matches and have a nice visible beam at night. These diodes can be pushed to higher currents but it will lower the diodes lifetime considerably.
